Sanday sheep named champion of the yard

The Sanday Show kicked of the 2012 agricultural show season in Orkney today.

The overall champion of the yard was the winner of the sheep section – Killer Queen, a home-bred Suffolk gimmer by a home-bred ram, shown by Malcolm Lennie, Seaview, Sanday.

The reserve champion of the yard went to the winner of the horse section – Isaac, a 12-year-old Gypsy Cob shown by Jackie Sinclair.

The champion in the cattle section was a seven-month-old Limousin cross calf, the Duke, shown by Malcolm Lennie, Seaview, Sanday.
