Season’s first Ba’ games get underway

Today, boxing day, see’s the first two Ba’ games of the 2016/17 season get underway.

The boys’ Ba’ commenced with the throwing of the game’s trophy at the traditional spot in front of St Magnus Cathedral at 10 am. This year Jim Coltherd had the honour of pitching the ba’ into the pack and beginning the game

Today’s men’s game will follow at 1pm, with the winner of the men’s Ba’ 25 years ago, Leslie Manson, commencing the game with the throw.
