Serco make ferry improvements
Serco NorthLink Ferries is making a number of improvements to the Hamnavoe, Hjaltland and Hrossey ferries, based on feedback from customers.
According to the company work is already well in progress on the Hjatland and Hrossey, with one of the most noticeable changes being to the internal seating layout.
Those travelling without cabins will enjoy increased comfort as additional showers, baby changing facilities and reclining seating are installed. New premium reclining seats are also being introduced for those looking for additional comfort at a price lower than the cabins.
The current a la carte restaurant will also see a facelift and a change of menu.
The work onboard the ferries, which started earlier this month and is due for completion by Christmas, does mean a temporary reduction in capacity.
Passengers are advised to book early, particularly for peak weekend services.
