Severe weather forecast affects flights

Loganair has advised  that, due to the severe weather conditions forecast locally and elsewhere in Scotland, all non-internal flights this afternoon are cancelled. In addition, two flights from Kirkwall tomorrow morning, Friday, have also been cancelled.

The Friday flights affected are the BE6890 Kirkwall to Edinburgh; BE6831 Kirkwall to Aberdeen and BE6930 Kirkwall to Inverness.

A spokesman for the company advised that anyone booked on these flights should contact their travel agent to make alternative arrangements.
