Shetland dance group to visit Orkney

Aestaewast, African and latin drum, song and dance group from Shetland, with their founder Joy Duncan, will be in Orkney with the group tomorrow, Friday.

Joy, has spent time in Senegal learning the rhythms, songs and dances of West Africa and has developed a Shetland based business, which provides workshops and courses for those who also wish to learn.

They will be in Orkney to take part in the “Dancing in the Isles” event on Oct 11 and Joy will be running workshops for those keen to have a go themselves.
