Stem cell scientists visit Orkney this week
Scientists from the MRC Centre for Regenerative Medicine, at The University of Edinburgh, are visiting Orkney this week to talk to about stem cell research.
There will be two events on Thursday, November 7, at King St Halls, Kirkwall, one from 2pm – 4pm and the other from 7pm – 9pm for anyone interested in finding out about stem cells and how they are being used to study disease and develop treatments.
There will also be a talk for pupils and teachers at KGS on Friday.
If you are affected by a condition such as Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinsons, diabetes, Leukaemia, or MD to name a few, or are a carer, friend or relative of someone who is, this may be of particular interest.
