Stenness author to return to Orkney

Virginia Crow, who are up in Stenness, will be launching her new book, Day’s Dying Glory, tomorrow.

An author who spent her childhood in Stenness is set to return to Orkney to launch her new book.

Virginia Crow, who now lives in Wick, believes that her Orkney upbringing is what inspired her to become a writer. Now, she plans returned to the county to launch her latest book, Day’s Dying Glory.

Virginia is delighted to be hosting the event, which is due to take place at the Saint Magnus Centre, Kirkwall, tomorrow, Saturday. Having always maintained that her childhood in Orkney has shaped the way in which she views the world, she hopes to share her work and her inspiration in the place which shaped her writing.
