Stromness Lifeboat called to Graemsay

Stromness Lifeboat was called out in the early hours of Sunday morning after being requested to assist with a medical emergency on Graemsay.

Shortly after 1am the lifeboat left Stromness harbour, with an ambulance team and Coastguard members on board, and berthed a few minutes later at Graemsay pier.

The medical and Coastguard teams went ashore and returned with the casualty who was taken to Stromness and driven to hospital in the waiting ambulance.
