Stromness Shopping Week set for grand finale

The 66th annual Stromness Shopping Week, which was officially opened on Monday, is due to come to a close tonight.

The popular fancy dress parade will proceed through the street at 7pm, escorted by the Stromness British Legion Pipe Band, with the Rendall Pipe Band following the float procession.

The grand fireworks display by the Islesburgh Pyrotechnics Display Club is due to start at 10.45pm, before a performance by band Sneaky Treacle will bring the 2014 event to a close.
