Stromness street repairs progress

Flagstone repair works in Stromness are moving onwards through John street, with efforts due to resume on Monday – this time from below E. Flett’s Butcher shop to The Royal British Legion.

Orkney Islands Council expects this section of the works will take approximately one week to complete. This section of road will be closed to vehicles for the duration of the work.

Following on from this, repairs will continue along Victoria Street, towards its junction with Ferry Road, at the fountain.

Pedestrian access is being maintained for all the above works.
