Tackling the Tour de UHI for Red Nose Day
Students and staff at Orkney College UHI will be clocking up the miles, by pedalling across the University of the Highlands and Islands for Red Nose Day today, Friday.
Orkney College’s Leona Stevenson has been busy organising the charity fundraiser.
She explained: “The Tour de UHI challenges each participating partner in the University of the Highlands and Islands to collaboratively cycle the entire UHI estate — 1,415.8 miles from Argyll to Shetland — via each of its facilities, including Orkney College UHI, in just six hours.”
Students and staff at Orkney College will take turns to tackle the challenge on an exercise bike, set up in the foyer of the college.
The first participants at each UHI location will start pedalling together at 9.30am.
