Tips for parents during Sexual Health Week

Parents in Orkney are to be given tips on how to deal with sexual health questions from their children.

As part of this week’s Sexual Health Week, NHS Orkney is supporting Fpa (formerly the Family Planning Association) as part of the latest campaign “Facts of Life — Talking to Your Children about Puberty, Relationships and Sex”.

Kara Leslie, health promotion officer explained: “One of the questions parents often ask is ‘what should I tell them at what age? To help with this, Fpa has put together a new booklet which contains tips for parents, and guidance about the information children need at different ages.”
