Town centre show for artistic trio
Three Orkney’s artists are coming together for a combined show, at 39 Albert Street, Kirkwall.
Laura Drever, Britt Harcus and Celia Clark are taking advantage of one of the town centre’s empty premises, to show a collection of their work.
Each artist has a very different creative process, so there should be a style on display for everyone.
Laura Drever is well known for her abstract paintings and drawings, influenced by Orkney’s land and seascapes. Artist and illustrator Britt Harcus considers herself an agricultural artist, as almost all her work features animals, farming and the countryside.
Celia Clark is a digital artist and takes inspiration from the natural environment around her. Her images begin as a photograph, which she then digitally reworks.
The three artists have not exhibited together before, and are looking forward to the experience.
The exhibition opened this morning at 10am and runs until December 9.
