Union Jack reigns supreme in Dounby

A March 2011 born Limousin cross steer from Liam Muir was the supreme cattle champion at today’s Dounby Show.The home-bred beast, named Union Jack, was sired by Emslies Auctioneer and out of a three-quarters British Blue cow.

Reserve overall was a five month-old calf, by a Limousin bull and out of a British blue cross cow, shown by J. A. Lennie of Cott in Rendall.

Leader in the sheep was a Beltex gimmer from A. and V. Copland of Overhouse Harray, sired by Forglen Nearco and out of Orkney Karen, while the winner in the horse section was Kinshiell Endeavour, exhibited by Erin Davidson, Sutherquoy, Sandwick.
