Verbal abuse charge denied

A trial date has been set in the case against Bruce Mallisa, 23 Kiln Corner, Kirkwall, who denies behaving in a threatening or abusive manner towards a woman at an address in Dounby.

Appearing from custody on Monday, Mallisa pleaded not guilty to verbally abusing a woman at the address on Saturday.

He was released on bail, with the special condition that he does not approach or contact the complainer or enter Quilco, in Dounby.
