Councillor John Ross Scott.
The first meeting of the new Orkney Islands Council Education, Leisure and Housing committee was held today, where newly elected councillor John Ross Scott was named as vice-chairman.

He was proposed for the role by Councillor Stephen Clackson, seconded by Councillor Steve Sankey. No one else stood for the post.

Councillor Rob Crichton was earlier named as chairman of the committee.
