Waste regulation briefing for businesses

Zero Waste Scotland is hosting a free briefing in Orkney next week to help local businesses understand the new Waste (Scotland) Regulations and how they will be affected.

The briefing, which will be held at the Ayre Hotel, Kirkwall, on Friday, March 22, will provide attendees with an overview of the new regulations, which are due to come into force from January, 2014.

The regulations will require all businesses to separate paper, cardboard, plastics, metals and glass for recycling, and some businesses will need to separate their food waste for collection.
