Windfarm developers hopeful over quay use

The developers behind a floating windfarm of potentially up to 60 turbines have offered an insight into their vision for the future as they begin the first steps of engaging with the Orkney community.

The recently-named Ayre of Orkney Wind Farm off the coast of Deerness is set to hold between 50 and 60 floating offshore wind turbines, capable of generating between 18MW to 25MW each.
