X Factor’s Matt Cardle mingles with the locals

X Factor winner Matt Cardle has been mixing with the locals around Kirkwall, in the run up to his gig in the Pickaquoy Centre tonight.

The chart-topper was happy to pose for photos and chat to folk while visiting a few of the town’s bars last night.

Several people have posted their pictures on the social networking site, Facebook, commenting on the “down-to-earth and friendly guy”.

The doors open for the concert, with support by Stronsay’s Emily Bourn, at 7pm tonight.
