Yellow weather warning for Orkney
Predictions of up to 75mph gusts have triggered a yellow weather warning for Orkney for this Monday and Tuesday.
According to the Met Office, very strong winds are expected to affect northern parts of Scotland, with gusts of 65 to 75 mph likely, before winds gradually ease from the west during Tuesday.
The forecasting service has advised that there are likely to be some transport delays. Both NorthLink Ferries and air operator Loganair have issued travel disruption messages to customers. Meanwhile, Pentland Ferry services are not currently operating due to the MV Pentalina being on refit.
