A tune atop the Old Man of Hoy
An adventurous accordion player recently made the daunting climb up the Old May of Hoy with his musical instrument, playing a couple of tunes at the top.
David Greenald, from Chester, in England, climbed Orkney’s famous sea stack on June 20.
The singer songwriter and climbing enthusiast said it was something he wanted to do for a long time and, with the help of the others in his climbing party, he managed it.
While at the top he played a couple of tunes, the first of which is one of his own composition, which he said is very northern sounding.
Since making his unique ascent and descent, David has also penned an original song about his experience, titled Let the Wild Wind.
