Car collision in Finstown

Kirkwall police have reported that no major injuries were suffered by the either of the drivers involved in a road accident in Finstown on Wednesday afternoon.

The accident, which took place just before 5pm, involved two cars and occurred at Maitland Place, near the junction with the Old Finstown Road. One of the motorists was taken to hospital but was found to be uninjured.

Following the incident the road was closed, re-opening just before 6.45pm.
