Dialect talk in Stenness

Orcadian dialect scholar Tom Rendall has been carrying out further research into Orkney dialect and will be presenting the results at a talk in Stenness tonight, Monday.

Entitled Migration and the Mither Tongue, the talks will also be held in Westray on March 9, and Kirkwall on March 28.

The events have been organised by Orkney Heritage Society, with the help of Scapa Flow Landscape Partnership and with funding from Scotland’s Islands.
