Draft Grainshore development brief approved

Orkney Islands Council has approved a draft version of the Grainbank Development Brief for an eight week period of consultation between July 8 and September 2.

This extended period has been allowed in order to give people plenty of time to consult over the summer period.

Following the consultation, the document will be revised and reported to councillors for approval. Once approved, the document will be a material consideration for all planning applications in this area of Kirkwall.

The document will be available on the OIC website from July 8. Reference copies will be available at the OIC one-stop shop, the Kirkwall and Stromness libraries and Stromness cash office.
