Draw made for 2014 Parish Cup

Holders of The Orcadian Parish Cup, St Ola, have been drawn against Stenness in the preliminary round of this year’s competition. The draw was made earlier this evening at the Pickaquoy Centre.

With 14 teams competing for the trophy this year, two teams — Firth and 2013 finalists Birsay — drew a bye to the next round.

The preliminary round will also see an East Mainland derby between Holm and Deerness, while Sanday were drawn against North Isles rivals Westray.

Sandwick were drawn against Harray, with the winner of that tie going on to face either St Ola or Stenness in the quarter-finals.

The full draw is: Preliminary round — Stromness v St Andrews; Flotta, Hoy and Walls v South Ronaldsay; Holm V Deerness; St Ola v Stenness; Sandwick v Harray; Sanday v Westray; byes for Birsay and Firth.

Quarter-finals — Stromness/St Andrews v Birsay; Holm/Deerness v Sanday/Westray; Sandwick/Harray v St Ola/Stenness; Flotta, Hoy and Walls/South Ronaldsay v Firth.
