Entrants sought for regional food and drinks awards

Food and drink businesses in Orkney are being called upon to enter the 2015 Highlands and Islands Food and Drink Awards.

Entries are being accepted in 15 categories ranging from the Young Shining Star and Restaurant of the Year to Export and Healthier Food & Drink.

Last year’s event saw Orkney Buffalo, in Deerness, take the award for Best new Business with the Island Smokery, based in Stromness, shortlisted for the food and drink business growth award.

The deadline for entries is Friday, May 8. The shortlisted finalists will be announced on June 26 with the winners to be announced on October 32 at the awards ceremony at Kingsmills Hotel in Inverness.
