Ferries now all have the Viking look

All three of Serco NorthLink’s passenger ships have now been rebranded with their new Viking livery.

Passenger ferries, the Hamnavoe, Hrossey and Hjaltland all received the Viking treatment while in drydock recently, with each now adorned in their new livery.

Stuart Garrett, managing director of Serco NorthLink Ferries, said: “Our last ship that came from drydock on Sunday was the MV Hrossey. This offered a unique opportunity as timings meant that both her and the MV Hjaltland were in Aberdeen at the same time, enabling us to get some striking photography of them close together near to Aberdeen Harbour.”

The new NorthLink Ferries brand was launched in spring 2013 and the new livery marks a major stage of the roll out.

This was completed as part of the scheduled repainting and maintenance of each vessel.

Mr Garrett added: “Our Norse imagery has been exceptionally well received. Not only has it given the exterior of our ships a revamp but there is a renewed excitement around travelling in them which we hope will ultimately encourage others to sample the Northern Isles’ natural beauty and culture for themselves.”
