We’re looking for a proactive and reliable Yard Operative to join our Orkney team, supporting operations at Twatt. In this hands-on role, you’ll assist the Waste & Logistics Supervisor with daily duties and provide shore-based support to Site Managers.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Yard Operative will be responsible for preparing waste and fallen stock for transport to a renewables site. The role involves managing all paperwork associated with the transfer of waste materials to third parties, overseeing asset and COSHH and stock control, and ensuring daily checks are completed on all relevant plant and equipment.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail. They will demonstrate a positive can-do attitude with a clear sense of ownership and responsibility. Strong planning, scheduling and organisational skills are essential, along with a basic level of IT literacy to support day-to- day administrative and operational tasks. Candidates should have the ability to work effectively both on their own initiative and under direction. A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
