KGS entrepreneurs win Scottish Company of the Year award
Kirkwall Grammar School’s Young Enterprise team were named the Scottish Company of the Year at last night’s national final in Glasgow.
Fjara created jewellery using sea glass collected from beaches around Orkney, selling them at various events, craft fairs and in local shops.
They now go on to represent Scotland at the UK finals next month.
Fjara is made up for 15 KGS pupils: Betty Andrews, Kyle Boyd, Ronan Osborne, Hannah Keith, Holly Rendall, Hayley Duncan, James Kemp, Sarah Macphail, Lillie Flett, Thora Cant, Shevaun Rosie, Andrew Fraser, Iona Muir, Ellen Rendall and Megan Ward.
