Police appeal for information

Police are appealing for information after a window was damaged at the Old Coastguard Station, on Cromwell Road, Kirkwall.

The incident is thought to have occurred some time between 9pm on February 1, and 10.30am on February 3.

Anyone who may have any information regarding this incident is asked to call Kirkwall police station on 101.

Police are also advising the public to be vigilant after receiving reports of travelling sales persons offering to sell goods from a vehicle.

A spokesman said that anyone seeking advice on this matter should contact either Kirkwall police station or the OIC’s trading standards officers on 873535 (e-mail trading.standards@orkney.gov.uk).
