Charges to be introduced at Great Western Road car park

Islands councillors have agreed to introduce charges for motorists using the Great Western Road (South) car park in Kirkwall.

Members of the OIC’s development and infrastructure committee heard that there had been no objections received in the consultation process, carried out in respect of the proposal to regulate parking in the car park.

The new traffic order is expected to come into effect on March 1.
