Mobile CT scanner will be in place next year

NHS Orkney has confirmed that a mobile CT scanner will be based in the county next year.

For years there have been concerns that Orkney was the only area in Scotland without access to a CT scanner, but speaking during yesterday’s NHS Orkney annual review, board chairman John Ross Scott confirmed that the interim mobile service will be in place early in 2014.
