Moderator to visit Orkney
The present Moderator of the general Assembly of the Church of Scotland is due to arrive today, for a 10-day trip to the county.
During his stay, Rt Rev Albert Bogle, minister of Bo’ness parish church, will visit schools, businesses, churches and community organisations throughout the islands.
Traditionally the Moderator pays a visit to each Presbytery in Scotland once every 10 years, and this year it is Orkney’s turn.
The theme for this visit is “Passing the faith to the next generation.”
