Motorcyclist dies in accident on causeway

A 52-year-old motorcyclist died after a collision on the second barrier on Wednesday afternoon.

According to police, the incident took place around 4.35pm on Wednesday afternoon and involved two vans and a motorcycle, all travelling in a northerly direction.

The male motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries but there were no other casualties.

The causeway remained closed until just after midnight while inquiries were carried out by officers from North Division Road Policing Unit. No further details are being released at this time.
