New Hospital Under Construction

Work has begun on the site of the new Balfour Hospital. The facility is due to be completed in Spring 2019.

Work is now underway on the new Balfour Hospital. Construction of the new health facility at Scapa is due to be completed in Spring 2019.

Despite delays and setbacks, Cathie Cowan, chief executive of NHS Orkney confirmed that staff were optimistic about the new facility and its contribution to the delivery of high quality care and services.
