Orkney flavour to Landward’s Christmas edition
An Orkney edition of the BBC TV show Landward is due to be broadcast this evening, Friday.
A team from the programme, which focuses on agricultural and rural issues, visited the county at the end of November, filming at various locations and on a broad range of topics.
The Christmas edition will feature Orkney Yule customs and traditions, including the Ba’, the goose cull and the popularity of bere products. Maeshowe is also included.
The programme is due to air on BBC 2 Scotland, at 8.30pm, tonight.
It is repeated on Sunday, December 22, on BBC 2 at 2.55pm, and will also be available on the BBC iPlayer.
