Orkney RFC slip to defeat in Perth

Despite scoring 14 of Orkney’s 19 points, Danny Bain ended up on the losing side as Orkney lost 22-19 against Perthshire.

Orkney RFC were thwarted in their attempts for back-to-back BT National League Division 3 wins, losing 22-19 to Perthshire.

Ally Linklater scored Orkney’s only try, with Danny Bain scoring the conversion. The boot of Bain added another 12 points with four penalties, however Orkney slipped to their seventh defeat in eight league games this season.

The result means the islanders remain in the relegation mire, ahead of a third pivotal fixture, playing Hillhead Jordanhill next Saturday at the Pickaquoy.
