Planning consultation on trees and woodland
A draft planning document aimed at ensuring the impact on Orkney’s trees and woodlands is taken into account when considering development applications is open for consultation.
Orkney Islands Council’s draft Trees and Woodlands Supplementary Guidance will be open for public comment for a six-week period.
The Council’s Planning Manager, Stuart West said: “Once the Supplementary Guidance is approved by the council, it will be a significant consideration for the determination of planning applications, so we’d encourage anyone interested in development and in Orkney’s trees and woodlands to view the draft guidance.”
The document is available here.
The consultation closes on February 17.
