Recycling delayed in Kirkwall

Orkney Islands Council has reported that their recycling service in area two, Kirkwall – West, is running behind due to mechanical issues today, Tuesday.

The council has said a crew will be working on into this afternoon/early evening with the aim of collecting as much of the route as possible.

Householders in the areas affected are asked to leave their bins out this afternoon and early evening while the council attempts to complete the routes.

Any households not reached today will be able to put extra recycling out for collection in a fortnight’s time.
