Runners set for Hoy Half-marathon

Around 150 runners will gather in Hoy this morning, Sunday, for the island’s annual half-marathon.

The event, now in its 27th year, is one of the highlights of the Orkney sporting calendar, and is regularly contested by locals and visitors alike.

Its sister event, the quarter-marathon, for younger runners, also takes place on the same day.
