Wave conditions at the barriers damages another vehicle

Two cars were badly damaged over the Christmas period, according to local police.

A spokesman said that on Christmas Eve, at 11.52pm, a car was reported to have been extensively damaged when it left the road and ended up in the gully at Davie’s Brig, just outside Finstown.

Police said that no one was hurt in the incident and that their inquiries are continuing.

Meanwhile, a  car was badly damaged by waves at the second barrier some time between Christmas Eve and the morning of Christmas Day — with its windscreen was smashed and the roof badly damaged.
