Winning start for young Orkney athletes

Orkney’s junior inter-county competitors kicked off their defence of the Stuart Cup with victory over Shetland  in the athletics event today.

Orkney won 108-86 – breaking two records in the process.

Sarah Macphail broke the high jump record, while Orkney also set a new record in the girls’ 4x100m contest – a record held by Orkney and which has stood since 2005.
