Cinema enters the digital era

The Phoenix Cinema at the Pickaquoy Centre has confirmed that a new digital projector will be arriving to replace the 35mm projector, with installation planned for the week commencing April 29.

The switch to digital will mean a better experience for the cinema goers, screening the latest films with high-quality picture and sound, with the option to screen in 3D.

Due to the technology upgrade, there will be a few disruptions to the usual cinema schedule format in April and May. However, Picky management says it will endeavour to keep these to a minimum.
