Islander goes digital and available free

The 2013 edition of the Islander, which is available from today, marks a double milestone in the publication’s history.

Not only is 2013 the 25th anniversary of the Islander – the free ‘newspaper’ produced by The Orcadian to help visitors have an enjoyable stay in the county — but this year, for the first time, the Islander is available online as a free digital edition.

Following in the footsteps of The Orcadian and Living Orkney, the Islander digital edition can be viewed on a home computer, laptop or tablet.

So while in the past visitors had to collect their free copy after arriving in the county, it is available worldwide on the date of publication.
