Emergency incident in Stromness

Emergency services have attended an incident in Stromness involving a salmon farming vessel, this afternoon.

HM Coastguard was called out to an incident between Hoy and Stromness at at 2.22pm.

A search and rescue helicopter was dispatched, along with Stromness RNLI’s lifeboat and Stromness Coastguard rescue team. 

Police were also in attendance on shore in Stromness.
