First large liner of the year arrives at Hatston Pier
The cruise liner season is now underway in Orkney with the arrival of the first of the large liners to visit in 2014.
The 169m long Discovery, which has a passenger capacity of over 700, arrived at Hatston Pier just after 11am.
The ship arrived in Orkney after sailing north from Rosyth, and is due to leave for TĂłrshavn later in the day.
The smaller cruise ship Quest is scheduled to call into Stromness on Tuesday.
As well as tours for visiting passengers, there are also shuttle busses arranged to take passengers into the centre of Kirkwall throughout the season.
