WANTED: CLEANING & MAINTENANCE OPERATIVE

• Contract: Full-time, permanent
• Pay: £13 per hour starting rate; paid training given.
• Schedule: 35hrs pw; 8am-3pm including paid 20 mins break (there can be some flexibility in shift patterns, for the right candidate)
• Benefits: 25% staff discount; performance related Christmas bonus

Experience preferred, but not essential as full training will be given. However, any experience in a similar role, or personal experience with DIY would be beneficial. The successful candidate will be competent in basic computer skills and will be expected to maintain inventories and sanitisation and maintenance logs as part of legal HACCP paperwork.

Full in-house training and mentorship is provided, including structured weekly training sign-offs and online COSSH certification. Manual Handling equipment, PPE and work uniform is provided (except trousers, thermals and boots). PPE equipment laundering provided.

Donaldsons is a busy and well-established butchers’ shop with extensive kitchen, smoking, and production areas. This role is highly respected within the company as a core part of the smooth and safe running of the business. The successful candidate must be able to work collaboratively in a team setting while also managing their individual workload.

This is a physically demanding role and will suit someone physically capable. You must be able and prepared to work in a cold environment. You must be able to safely lift loads of up to 20kg (50lbs).
