Medal delight for Island Games athletes

Orkney has picked up two more medals at the NatWest Island Games in Bermuda.

Thora Cant claimed a silver in the women’s javelin event, with a throw of 37.51.

Fellow athlete Thomas Fay then won silver in the men’s 10,000m  contest shortly afterwards, completing the race in 32:43:79.

That brings Orkney’s medal tally in Bermuda to four, following the gold and silver medals claimed by the triathletes on Sunday.
