Online poll: Are you in favour of Orkney holding the 2023 International Island Games?

With Orkney Islands Council agreeing to consider hosting the 2023 NatWest International Island Games, The Orcadian would like to hear your thoughts.

To gauge public opinion, we have set up an online poll (below) and would welcome comments via our Facebook page. Please note that comments may be used for publication.

The third biggest multi-sport event in the world, the estimated cost of holding the Games is just under £1.3 million (£1,279,000). However, it is anticipated that there would be a “significant economic, social and sporting impact” on the county.
