Orkney FC hoping for three wins on the bounce
Orkney FC make a short trip across the Pentland Firth today as they hope to continue their good recent form and make it three consecutive wins against Thurso FC at The Dammies. The men in red, with several new faces and new impetus in the squad, have put an opening defeat against Golspie Sutherland in September behind them, gaining maximum points from two home games, with a thrilling 5-3 win against Alness United being followed up by a professional but hard-fought 2-0 win against Invergordon last weekend.
Last weekend’s performance pleased manager, Charlie Alway and hopes will be high in the Orkney FC camp that they can make it three wins from four games against a Thurso side that is fourth in the league, one place below Orkney, on two points, having drawn two and lost one so far.
Orkney hold a favourable record against Thurso, having never suffered defeat in four matches, with three victories and a draw.
Kick-off is scheduled for 12:3opm at The Dammies in Thurso.
